Santorini

Santorini was like a dream come true.  It is the most picturesque place I've ever been.  I had very high expectations and it didn't disappoint!  It's exactly like the pictures and postcards I've seen.  I'm grateful that I was there with Ryan because it was so romantic and we were constantly surrounded by other couples.  Two of our friends were there as well and that made it really fun.  This was the perfect spot end to our busy holiday.  We explored the island a lot, but mostly just relaxed and spent time on the beaches and poolside (my favourite)!  We rented ATV's and were so glad that we did.  They're pretty affordable (taxis aren't) and it's so easy and fun to get around on them.  Parking is free and is always available.  We spent each day at a different beach and we saw most of the island.  I initially wanted to stay in Oia, but was glad that we didn't.  It's stunning, but very crowded and touristy.  We stayed in Imerovigli.  It was so great because it is very central and much quieter.  The food that we had was outstanding.  We had dinner at Pelekanos, Mezzo and Anogi.  I recommend all of them!  I usually look forward to going home after traveling and getting back to reality, but this place was really hard to leave.  I cannot wait to go back here and to more of the Greek Islands.
