The Pan Yard

Ever since I've known Jaclyn, she has been really into all things Caribbean and Caribana in particular. She partakes in at least one parade/celebration annually, whether it's Cropover in Barbados, Carnival in Trinidad or Caribana here in Toronto. I haven't been to see her practice at 'The Pan Yard' in several years so I was overdue to go and support my 'gyal.' Although Caribana isn't something I personally get involved in, I think the crowds that Caribana draws are great for the city and really boost our tourism industry. You can't be in a bad mood when you hear the steelpan music because it's so happy and carefree. It makes me wish I was on a beach somewhere far away. It's also really amusing to see Jaclyn in her element. Sometimes I think she was born in the wrong country.
